On 1st May every year, Labour Day is celebrated all across the globe. Just like every other part of the world, it is also celebrated in Pakistan as well. The intention of celebrating this day is to commemorate the struggle, hard word & great effort of the labours all around, no matter its factory, company, organization or somewhere else. A number of NGOs, NPOs, private or government establishments, etc stand & work for the low-strata people & labour benefits.
In every corner of the world, there is always a holiday on Labour Day, including the private & government sectors. The people take part in functions, rallies, seminars, & processions that demands the rights for labour. The major intention of all this stuff is to pledge that the labour, no matter what, should have their rights. The entire day is passed making these promises, claims & slogans. But, as the sun sets, everything fades away. The major intention should be only celebrating this day instead we should try our level best to achieve our aims for this. Each and every labour out there, especially in Pakistan, needs basic human rights. The right for which they are struggling day & night, that includes health, residence, education facilities, job security, etc. We should try to understand that the labour laws aren’t only meant for registered labours but for the millions of other people who work in different places.
The real objective of Labour Day is to defend labour rights. We should try to defend their rights so that their families could get the benefits, the benefits they deserve. The government of Pakistan should also pay attention to proffer the labour health, education, residence, security & peace. Their demands aren’t unfair & this is what we can call the basic necessities of life.
